Demolition is complete. Commence panic mode.
The majority of the bricks were salvaged. Possibly other building materials as well. The final picture is kind of eerie for most of us.

So, we have achieved a giant sand box!!  Go us!

Into Darkness....

We are Roberta and Leigh Mackie and Kyla Cashen; mother, daughter and granddaughter. This blog will follow the tear down and rebuild of the family beach house on Whidbey Island, Washington.

Today was the day that the beach house affectionately known as "Mackie 1" was torn down to be rebuilt.  We're all excited although some of us have some nostalgia mixed in with our excitement.
